• Float Requirement: Required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call/Standby: Not required
• Orientation: Unit orientation and training provided

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience required
• EPIC experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Strong medical-surgical nursing background with the ability to care for a wide variety of patients
• Comfortable floating to assist other units as needed
• Ability to provide a current, unexpired driver’s license with submission
• ACLS and PALS are recommended but not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care to a diverse Med/Surg patient population
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions using EPIC
• Care for patients with diagnoses such as CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, orthopedic needs, detox, and post-op surgical cases
• Collaborate with house supervision, aides, respiratory therapy, and the broader healthcare team
• Manage patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow support with appropriate collaboration
• Support patient flow and assist other units when floating is needed
• Maintain a professional, flexible, and team-oriented approach during night shift operations
• Follow unit policies, documentation standards, and safety protocols
