  • Schedule Notes: Every other weekend or equivalent based on staffing needs
  • Unit Highlights: 20-bed PCU with GE cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps, and Expanse EMR

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital nursing experience required
  • At least 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down experience required
  • Active compact RN license at time of submission
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills
  • Critical drip experience required
  • Self-directed, confident, positive, and a strong team player
  • Comfortable adapting to changing patient volume and unit needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care for progressive care and step-down patients
  • Monitor and assess patients requiring close clinical observation
  • Recognize and respond to dysrhythmias and other changes in patient condition
  • Manage critical drips and support patients with complex cardiac needs
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, efficient care
  • Float as needed to Med Surg, ICU for border patients, and the Emergency Department for ED holds
  • Maintain professional communication and a strong team-centered approach
  • Follow unit guidelines, policies, and orientation practices
