Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 1 year of recent NICU nursing or acute care nursing experience preferred
- NRP certification required prior to start
- BLS certification required prior to start
- RNC certification preferred
- Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity neonatal intensive care unit
- Must be able to provide a valid driver's license with submission packet
- Must live 100 miles or more from the facility for travel consideration
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to premature and critically ill infants in the NICU
- Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, neonatal specialists, and the care team to support safe, effective treatment plans
- Administer medications and perform NICU nursing interventions according to protocol
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly
- Support families with compassionate communication and education throughout the care journey
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment within the unit
