Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse Job - ICU & PCU Float Contract in Harrison Township, New Jersey

Experienced Registered Nurse needed for an 8-week Cardiac Stepdown contract in Harrison Township, NJ. This New Jersey nursing job is ideal for a clinically strong RN with ICU and stepdown experience who is comfortable floating between ICU and PCU environments.

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,090-$2,200
• Location: Harrison Township, New Jersey

• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends per month
• Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday per assignment

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of combined ICU nursing and Stepdown nursing experience
• Active New Jersey RN license or compact RN license
• Epic experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to adapt in high-acuity patient care settings

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in a Cardiac Stepdown setting
• Float between ICU and PCU units as needed based on patient care demands
• Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and communicate updates to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and clinical protocols
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic
• Support safe transitions of care and provide patient-centered education to patients and families
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to promote high-quality outcomes
