Job Details

• Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel Nurse)
• Location: West Columbia, South Carolina
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Schedule: 5x8 evening shifts, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Healthcare Setting: Busy multi-specialty operating room
• Charting System: Epic experience required
• Orientation: 16 hours

Job Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• 2+ years of operating room nursing experience preferred
• Experience in perioperative nursing and supporting multiple surgical specialties preferred
• Familiarity with General Surgery, GYN, Orthopedics, Neuro, and Robotics preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with weekday coverage, plus occasional weekends or holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room
• Support a variety of surgical cases across general, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, and robotic procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the perioperative team to maintain efficient workflow and patient safety
• Prepare the OR, assist with case readiness, and help ensure smooth transitions throughout the surgical process
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain clear clinical communication
• Adapt to changing surgical needs and provide coverage for occasional shift gaps when needed
• Contribute to a team-oriented surgical services environment focused on excellent patient outcomes
