Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with emergency nursing experience to provide high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients in a busy Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be confident in rapid assessment, treatment, discharge education, and working collaboratively in a dynamic clinical setting.
Job Details
- Specialty: Emergency Department RN
- Setting: 20-bed Emergency Department
- Location: Bowling Green, KY
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
- Weekly Schedule: Every other weekend
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
- Documentation System: MEDITECH
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Floating: No floating required
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to provide clear discharge instructions and excellent patient experience
- Comfort working in a collaborative, high-volume ED environment
Responsibilities
- Assess, treat, and manage emergency patients with efficiency and compassion
- Provide patient-centered care to both adult and pediatric populations
- Support rapid throughput while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Deliver clear discharge instructions and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist with common ED procedures such as laceration repairs, splinting, intubations, lumbar punctures, closed reductions, and incision and drainage
- Use strong communication skills to promote a positive patient experience
- Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a busy, team-oriented environment
