Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with emergency nursing experience to provide high-quality care to adult and pediatric patients in a busy Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will be confident in rapid assessment, treatment, discharge education, and working collaboratively in a dynamic clinical setting.

Job Details

• Setting: 20-bed Emergency Department
• Location: Bowling Green, KY
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts
• Weekly Schedule: Every other weekend
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
• Documentation System: MEDITECH
• Patient Ratio: 4:1
• Floating: No floating required

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Experience caring for adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to provide clear discharge instructions and excellent patient experience
• Comfort working in a collaborative, high-volume ED environment

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and manage emergency patients with efficiency and compassion
• Provide patient-centered care to both adult and pediatric populations
• Support rapid throughput while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Deliver clear discharge instructions and patient education
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure smooth patient flow
• Assist with common ED procedures such as laceration repairs, splinting, intubations, lumbar punctures, closed reductions, and incision and drainage
• Use strong communication skills to promote a positive patient experience
• Maintain professionalism and adaptability in a busy, team-oriented environment
