Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg or acute care nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and clinical judgment skills
• Experience with Meditech or similar electronic health record documentation systems preferred
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and rotate with core staff as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients with a variety of needs
• Perform basic patient assessments, ongoing monitoring, and general care and maintenance
• Manage care related to wounds, tracheostomies, ostomies, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures
• Support patients who may require dialysis or PCA pumps
• Assist with post-op care including amputations, ostomy care, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
• Complete bedside shift reports, safety checks, and timely clinical documentation
• Follow infection prevention, fall prevention, medication scanning, and attendance standards
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and the care team to promote positive patient outcomes and smooth unit flow
