• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620–$1,710
• Setting: ICU stepdown / intermediate care / progressive care unit
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27103
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Commitment: Every other weekend
• Float Requirement: Floating may be required to a sister unit

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU, stepdown, intermediate care, or progressive care nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or a Compact state; pending license may be considered for submission
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Strong experience with arterial lines and titration of vasoactive drips
• Telemetry monitoring experience and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
• Experience with IV starts and conscious sedation
• Ability to manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, and blood product administration
• Comfort with respiratory support therapies including BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care
• Must be open to floating as needed
• Willingness to pass required pre-start testing and complete onboarding modules

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing for patients with respiratory distress, unstable hemodynamics, post-rapid response needs, and other complex conditions
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Administer and titrate selected vasoactive and cardiac drips per unit protocols
• Manage arterial lines, central venous access, PICCs, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Support patients receiving telemetry monitoring, IV insulin protocols, and blood products
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Deliver safe, efficient nursing care with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Adapt to the needs of adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
