Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Active Arkansas RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification required
• Travel nurse experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work night shifts and weekend coverage
• No license hits accepted
• No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
• Must not have been a staff employee within the past 5 years
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only
• Flu vaccination required, with medical exemptions only
• Minimal time off requested; no blocked scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to Med/Surg patients on a night shift schedule
• Monitor patient status, assess changes, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Support patients and families with education, comfort, and compassionate care
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment
• Deliver dependable weekend coverage and contribute to a strong team culture
