• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Emergency Department RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Schedule: Varied schedule Monday through Sunday, with every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 - $2,010
• Location: Athol, MA 01331

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience preferred
• ACLS upon hire, or active BLS with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS within 6 months of hire
• TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department according to established standards, policies, and protocols
• Perform thorough assessments, reassessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions and patient goals
• Prioritize patient care, respond appropriately to changes in condition, and escalate concerns when needed
• Administer medications and IV therapy safely and accurately
• Complete triage, documentation, patient education, and discharge planning with attention to detail and timeliness
• Recognize and respond to cardiac rhythms, abnormal lab values, and diagnostic results in a timely manner
• Support trauma, forensic, abuse reporting, and safety protocols as indicated
• Manage critical drips, airway support, thrombolytic and anticoagulation therapy, and ventilated patient care as needed
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and high standards of compassionate emergency nursing care in every interaction
• Collaborate closely with physicians, leaders, and the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient flow
