• Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Shift Time: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Scheduling Note: No block scheduling

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Cardiac nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience floating to other hospital units required
• Active Virginia RN license or compact RN license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Must be comfortable caring for acute care patients

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and complete nursing assessments in accordance with standards of care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support positive patient outcomes
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing needs and patient census
• Document thoroughly and accurately in EPIC
• Support a positive patient experience through compassionate, attentive bedside care
• Maintain a professional presence and follow unit guidelines and dress code expectations
