• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 5:1 to 6:1

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required prior to start
• Medical-surgical nursing experience preferred
• ACLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
• Ability to work independently and remain effective in a fast-paced hospital nursing environment
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
• Comfort working with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is helpful

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to medical/surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in the EHR
• Use sound clinical judgment while working with minimal supervision
• Maintain professionalism and adapt to the needs of a busy acute care unit
