Travel RN opportunity in Portland, Oregon for an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse seeking pediatric critical care, NICU, and PICU float pool experience. Overview
This is an excellent travel nurse job for a pediatric RN who enjoys variety, collaboration, and high-acuity care. You’ll support multiple pediatric units, build broad critical care experience, and care for patients with complex needs across acute care, intermediate care, oncology, PICU, and NICU environments.

- Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
- Floating: Required to float to PICU, NICU, and other pediatric units as needed
- Charting System: Epic experience required
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available for at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays
- Experience Level: 2+ years of pediatric RN experience required

Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license
- 2 or more years of pediatric critical care or pediatric acute care experience
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- Epic charting experience
- Strong pediatric assessment, medication administration, and family-centered care skills
- Comfortable caring for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
- Ability to work in high-acuity, fast-paced pediatric healthcare environments
- Experience with ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to support floating assignments
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to pediatric patients across multiple units
- Float between pediatric critical care areas, including PICU and NICU, based on unit needs
- Monitor patient condition, assess changes, and respond quickly to clinical priorities
- Administer medications, blood products, and treatments according to policy and best practice
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Support ventilated patients and assist with advanced pediatric interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Epic
- Follow infection control, isolation, and safety protocols at all times
- Deliver family-centered care and communicate effectively with caregivers
- Adapt to changing unit assignments while maintaining excellent patient care standards
