- Position: Travel PCU Registered Nurse
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
- Setting: Progressive Care Unit / Neuroscience PCU
- Location: Richmond, VA
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and 2 holidays per contract
Job Requirements
- Active Virginia RN license or compact state RN license in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 1 year of recent PCU nursing or related acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification required
- BSN preferred
- Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to float within scope as needed
- 2 professional references required
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patient populations
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in a progressive care and telemetry setting
- Monitor patients closely and respond to changes in condition for neuroscience and medical-surgical diagnoses
- Manage telemetry, dysrhythmias, and complex patient needs with confidence and attention to detail
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, efficient patient care
- Document accurately and efficiently in EPIC electronic health record systems
- Support care for patients with stroke, seizures, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, and post-operative surgical needs
- Float within the unit or related scope as needed
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while delivering compassionate bedside care
