Experienced Mother/Baby RN needed for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Aurora, Colorado. Join a supportive postpartum and couplet care team, work 12-hour night shifts, and provide compassionate care to mothers, newborns, and high-risk patient populations in a fast-paced Colorado healthcare setting.

- End Date: January 4, 2027
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 3 night shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980 - $2,080
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 72 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Required based on unit needs
- Call: Required, 1-2 times per 6-week schedule
Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, or Couplet Care
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license, compact or state license accepted
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Experience with fetal monitoring preferred for antepartum float support
- Comfort caring for postpartum patients, newborns, and high-risk patient populations
- Ability to work nights and adapt to unit needs
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Must be able to float within scope to antepartum/L&D as needed with fetal monitoring experience
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns who do not require ICU or NICU-level care
- Support couplet care with typical ratios around 1:3, or up to 6 patients depending on assignment needs
- Monitor and care for high-risk postpartum and newborn populations, including late preterm and substance-exposed infants
- Manage common therapies such as phototherapy, magnesium drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and PCA/PCEA pumps
- Deliver breastfeeding education, newborn teaching, and discharge support for families
- Perform newborn assessments, postpartum assessments, and patient education with a family-centered approach
- Support safe, efficient care in a collaborative maternal-newborn unit environment
- Float to antepartum/L&D when needed and within scope, with fetal monitoring experience
