• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule Options: 4x12s with no call or 3x12s with call
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Orientation: 40 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, unless needs change
• Float Requirement: May float to other NICU units or facilities as needed

Job Requirements

• Active South Carolina RN license
• BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
• Experience in Level II and Level III NICU care
• At least 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers are not being considered at this time
• Experience caring for neonates with complex and critical diagnoses
• Comfort with night shift scheduling and occasional floating
• Flu vaccination required; COVID-19 vaccination not required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to neonates in a busy NICU environment
• Monitor and manage infants with complex conditions such as respiratory distress, sepsis, hypoglycemia, and congenital anomalies
• Support specialized procedures including full body cooling, chest tube care, and tracheostomy management
• Administer medications and therapies according to neonatal care standards
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes
• Assist with family education and support throughout the care journey
• Maintain safe, organized, and effective care during night shifts and weekend coverage
