Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) - Lewisville, TX

Join a supportive Labor & Delivery nursing team in Lewisville, Texas, near the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. This 13-week travel RN contract offers a rewarding opportunity to provide compassionate maternal and newborn care in a collaborative hospital-based L&D unit.

• Setting: On-site hospital-based Labor & Delivery unit
• Location: Lewisville, TX 75057
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/04/2027
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730-$1,820
• Floating: May float to Mother Baby as needed
• On-Call: 1-2 shifts per schedule

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Experience with labor management in an acute care setting
• Experience circulating cesarean sections (c-sections)
• Comfort with vaginal deliveries, triage, recovery care, and postpartum support
• Ability to work night shifts in a fast-paced Labor & Delivery environment
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive, patient-first approach
• Strong communication skills and reliable clinical judgment

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients in Labor & Delivery
• Support labor management, triage, delivery, and recovery workflows
• Assist with cesarean section circulation and related procedures
• Monitor patients according to unit standards and AWHONN guidelines
• Care for patients receiving Pitocin and support antepartum patients as needed
• Use fetal monitoring equipment and charting systems effectively
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, OB techs, and support staff to maintain excellent patient outcomes
• Float to Mother Baby when needed and serve as a dependable resource for the team
