Job Details

• Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Location: Knoxville, TN 37934
• Setting: Acute care medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Other Details: Every other weekend; no call; floats to Med/Surg as needed; no block scheduling

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 1 year of recent registered nurse experience required
• Strong total patient care and acute care nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts and rotating weekends
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Cerner experience preferred
• Professional appearance and compliance with unit standards
• Ability to adapt quickly in a travel nursing assignment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality total patient care to Med/Surg Tele patients
• Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Deliver safe, efficient nursing care while maintaining appropriate patient ratios
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed based on staffing demands
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support a positive patient experience through compassionate bedside care
• Follow all unit policies, infection control practices, and clinical protocols
