Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • At least 1 year of experience in Mother/Baby, Postpartum, or similar acute care nursing experience
  • Strong patient education and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on night shift in a fast-paced hospital environment
  • Current clinical competency in postpartum care and newborn care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to postpartum mothers and newborns in a Mother/Baby unit
  • Monitor patient recovery, complete assessments, and track vital signs
  • Educate families on newborn care, postpartum recovery, and discharge preparation
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, compassionate outcomes
  • Document patient care accurately and maintain a strong standard of clinical practice
  • Respond to patient needs promptly while promoting a supportive, family-centered environment
