Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,980-$2,080
• Setting: Emergency Room / Emergency Department
• Location: Lawrence, Kansas
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Start Date: Early October 2026
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Floating: As needed, but very rare
• On-Call: Not expected
• Orientation: Daytime orientation with floor training

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• No first-time travelers
• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license in hand
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications in hand
• New graduates are not accepted
• Large facility experience preferred
• Ability to work nights and provide coverage as needed on weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in a busy Emergency Department
• Assess, triage, and monitor patients with a wide range of acute conditions
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support timely patient flow
• Respond to changing patient needs with confidence, efficiency, and strong clinical judgment
• Participate in orientation and follow unit processes to provide excellent patient care
