• Position: CVICU RN / Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Unit: Cardiac Care ICU
• Setting: Specialized 20-bed cardiovascular critical care unit
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• Duration: 12 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, typically 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,670 - $1,760
• Holiday Commitment: Must work 2 major holidays and 1 minor holiday during the assignment
• Location: Lawrenceville, GA 30046

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a CVICU, Cardiac ICU, or closely related critical care specialty
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN preferred for this critical care nursing role
• NIH certification required
• Strong experience caring for high-acuity cardiac and post-surgical patients
• Comfort working with advanced support devices and complex ICU workflows

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for patients recovering from open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
• Monitor and respond to changes in hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory condition
• Support the safe management of advanced equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and promptly
• Maintain a calm, professional approach in a fast-paced cardiovascular critical care environment
