Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Asheville, NC

Join a dynamic Labor & Delivery travel nurse team in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. This 13-week RN assignment is ideal for an experienced maternity nurse who thrives in a fast-paced maternal care setting and wants to make a meaningful impact every shift.

Patient Ratio: 1:1 to 1:2
EMR: Cerner
Floating Areas: MFMU, Mother-Baby, NICU
Weekend/On-Call: Not required, available upon approval

Job Requirements

Active RN license
Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
High-risk obstetric and maternal care experience
Immediate newborn care experience
NRP certification
BLS/ALS certification
Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
Circulating experience preferred
Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality

Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout the labor and delivery process
Support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C procedures, cerclage, and C-hyst cases
Monitor fetal status and respond promptly to changes in maternal or newborn condition
Deliver immediate newborn care and assist with smooth transitions for infants
Collaborate closely with charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and the broader clinical team
Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit policies and clinical best practices
Float as needed to related maternal and neonatal care areas
