Job Details

• Position: Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse Assignment
• Location: Arlington, TX 76015
• Healthcare Setting: Progressive Cardiac Care Unit / Step-Down Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460-$1,540 per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 22, 2026
• Floating: Within scope of practice
• On-Call Requirement: None

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of recent experience in ICU, PCU, telemetry, step-down, or a similar acute care setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and progressive care patient populations preferred
• Comfort working in a flexible, fast-moving travel nursing environment
• Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
• PCCN, TNCC, or TCAR certifications are a plus
• Precepting experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for progressive care, telemetry, and step-down patients
• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac and medical-surgical needs
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions according to care plans
• Manage common unit procedures such as Foley and NGT insertions
• Deliver wound care and support ongoing patient recovery
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns appropriately
• Support a positive team culture while adapting to unit needs
