• Schedule: Every other weekend required; floating within scope may be required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950

• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
• Unit Setting: 40-bed PCU/Stepdown unit with an average daily census of 36

Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of PCU, Stepdown, Med-Surg, or Telemetry nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke certification, and Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment required
• Strong EKG interpretation, telemetry monitoring, and documentation skills
• Experience with non-titratable cardiac drips and stroke patients preferred
• Comfort with floating to like units and non-tele Med-Surg as needed
• Ability to manage a typical 1:4 ratio, with flexibility up to 1:5 based on acuity
• References and certification copies required for submission

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care/Stepdown setting
• Care for patients with CHF, COPD, MI, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, stroke, renal failure, and other complex conditions
• Monitor telemetry rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and document findings accurately
• Administer and manage non-titratable drips per protocol, including cardiac and anticoagulation therapies
• Support peritoneal dialysis care, chest tube management, wound care, and other advanced PCU interventions
• Respond as part of the code team as recorder and timekeeper when needed
• Float within scope to support hospital staffing needs while maintaining excellent patient care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote safe, efficient patient outcomes
