- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
- Charting System: Epic preferred
- Float Requirement: May float to other nearby campuses or pediatric/newborn settings as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of NICU nursing experience required
- Experience in a Level III NICU required; Level IV NICU experience preferred for shorter-experience candidates
- Active Registered Nurse license required
- Compact RN license must be in hand at submission
- BLS and NRP required
- Comfort caring for neonates and infants, including high-acuity and critically ill patients
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary neonatal care team
- Open to floating as needed within the care network
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for critically ill neonates and infants in a neonatal intensive care unit
- Support high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries
- Manage advanced respiratory support, including CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, and conventional vents
- Administer blood and blood products, and monitor patients closely during treatment
- Care for infants with cooling/warming blanket therapy, feeding tubes, PICC/central lines, and syringe pumps
- Perform ongoing assessments, document care accurately, and respond promptly to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and other support services to deliver excellent neonatal care
