NICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Job - Edmonds, WA

  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • Weekly Hours: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,850 - $1,950
  • Schedule Notes: Floating may be required as needed; flexibility with holiday coverage and scheduling is important

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license with compact licensure in hand at submission
  • Minimum of 2 years of NICU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS, NRP, and CLS certifications
  • Experience with Level II NICU admissions and normal newborn care
  • Comfort caring for infants 32 weeks gestation and greater
  • Ability to attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including high-risk deliveries
  • Strong skills in neonatal respiratory support and feeding management
  • Ability to float as needed and adapt to changing patient care needs
  • Willingness to work with a collaborative care team in a fast-moving clinical environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled nursing care for neonatal patients in a Level II NICU setting
  • Support admissions and ongoing care for normal newborns and infants born at 32 weeks or greater
  • Attend vaginal and cesarean deliveries and respond to high-risk delivery situations
  • Manage CPAP/BiPAP support, feeding tubes, syringe pumps, and related neonatal therapies
  • Perform neonatal assessments, monitor patient status, and communicate changes promptly
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teammates to promote safe, effective care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit standards, protocols, and safety practices
  • Provide compassionate, family-centered support while delivering excellent infant care
