• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holidays may be required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state coverage
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• ICU experience strongly preferred; 2+ years of critical care nursing experience is a plus
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification (NIHSS) required
• Ability to complete a facility EKG exam
• Experience with critical care technologies and electronic health records preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment in high-acuity healthcare settings

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients using the nursing process
• Conduct ongoing assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policies
• Monitor hemodynamics and manage complex critical care patients with confidence
• Support patients requiring advanced therapies such as ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and prioritize care effectively
• Float to stepdown as needed for bipap and low-dose vasopressor patients
• Promote patient safety, communication, and compassionate care throughout every shift
