• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Unit Size: 30 beds, with potential to flex to 35 beds
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Floating: May float to other Med/Surg Tele units as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• BLS required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months if not already obtained
• EPIC experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced telemetry and stepdown environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care for telemetry and stepdown patients
• Complete thorough assessments and monitor patients for changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy and best practice standards
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support coordinated patient care
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with medical-surgical conditions, including CVA/TIA, hypertension, diabetes, and other complex needs
• Manage patients requiring chest tubes, hemodynamic monitoring, temporary pacing, and conscious sedation support as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to quality patient outcomes
• Support patient education, family communication, and discharge planning
• Promote a safe, respectful, and healing environment for every patient
