Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract in Great Bend, Kansas

• Employment Type: Travel Contract

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Participation in holiday rotation
• On-Call: 2-3 on-call shifts per month
• Location: Great Bend, KS 67530

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical and care for pediatric patients as needed
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Completion of a fetal monitoring course (intermediate or advanced) within the past 24 months
• Commitment to obtain PALS prior to start if not already held
• EPIC experience is highly preferred
• Travel nurse experience and prior rural hospital experience are a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit
• Support patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Assist with cross-coverage needs in Medical-Surgical and pediatric care settings when assigned
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure smooth, patient-centered care delivery
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit protocols
• Adapt to night-shift workflow while delivering dependable, team-oriented care
