Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130 - $2,250
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Schedule: Full-time, 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM); holidays and every other weekend required
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Nights
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Assignment Length: 22 weeks
• Start Date: 10/5/2026
• Work Setting: ICU-focused float pool role with cross-unit support
• Floating: Must be comfortable floating between Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units
• On-Call: 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, Critical Care, or ICU nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications through AHA or RQI
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to manage changing patient needs in a fast-paced acute care environment
• Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and computer skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a patient-centered approach
• Comfort providing care across pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care in a critical care and hospital float pool environment
• Float between Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department units as needed
• Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Support patients with a wide range of acuity levels and age-specific needs
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Promote a healing environment that reflects dignity, respect, and teamwork
• Maintain readiness for holiday, weekend, and on-call coverage as scheduled
