Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Medical-Surgical RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week
• Shifts per Week: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Pattern: Day or night shift as scheduled, with every other weekend, holidays, and 2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks
• Assignment Length: 22 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,960 - $2,070
• Location: Geneva, NY 14456
• Start Date: October 5, 2026

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification from AHA
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg or Medical-Surgical setting
• Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills
• Ability to work rotating shifts and support weekend/holiday coverage as needed
• Experience caring for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations in an acute care setting

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate care to Med/Surg patients across the continuum of care
• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on clinical changes and patient response
• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions safely and effectively
• Educate patients and families on self-care, recovery, and discharge preparation
• Promote a healing environment built on trust, comfort, and emotional support
• Protect patient safety and uphold infection prevention and bloodborne pathogen precautions
• Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing professional development
