• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Charting System: MEDITECH
• Care Setting: Acute care hospital unit

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care setting
• BLS and ACLS required
• PALS preferred
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Comfort titrating drips, including heparin
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations preferred
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
• Monitor telemetry patients and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Titrate ordered drips in accordance with clinical protocols and provider guidance
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Care for patients with conditions such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, SBO, and post-op needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the MEDITECH charting system
• Participate in a supportive unit workflow with assigned nurse aide assistance
