Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160–$2,270
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 4
• Assignment Length: 26 weeks
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Location: Seattle, WA 98122
• Unit Type: Labor & Delivery
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required
• Compact license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• High-risk obstetric experience required
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-acuity maternal care environments
• Epic charting experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Strong newborn and maternal assessment skills
• Ability to float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and nearby sister units when needed

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring patients, newborns, and families
• Circulate for cesarean sections and support high-risk deliveries
• Provide newborn care during delivery and continue care until transfer to Postpartum
• Perform newborn assessments, thermoregulation support, and routine post-delivery care
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes in fetal heart rate patterns
• Support medication management and obstetric interventions as ordered
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Float as assigned to appropriate related units based on skill set and unit needs
