• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Contract Duration: 26 weeks
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Weekend/Holiday Expectations: Work every other weekend and 3 of 5 major holidays as needed
• Floating: May float to Postpartum, Antepartum, and occasionally nearby sister units based on skills and unit needs

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• High-risk obstetrics experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current compact or Washington state RN license in hand at submission
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity healthcare environment
• Strong experience with electronic fetal monitoring and high-risk deliveries
• Ability to circulate and provide newborn care during delivery is essential
• Must be willing to float when needed within scope of practice

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to laboring patients in a high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
• Circulate for cesarean sections and support delivery room workflow
• Act as Baby Nurse during delivery and continue newborn care until transfer to postpartum
• Perform newborn assessments, including eyes, thighs, and vital newborn care
• Administer ordered medications and therapies such as magnesium sulfate, insulin, and heparin
• Support vaginal deliveries, high-risk deliveries, and recovery from cesarean birth
• Monitor fetal status and respond to changes using sound clinical judgment
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe outcomes
• Float to postpartum or antepartum as needed to support patient care
