Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (PCU RN) – Travel Assignment in Salt Lake City, UT

Seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel RN job in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Schedule: Every other weekend, no call
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,570 - $1,650
EMR: EPIC
Floating: Med/Surg, IMCU
Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84124

Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in PCU, telemetry, step-down, or a similar acute care nursing setting
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Strong time management, critical thinking, and clinical assessment skills
Experience with cardiac monitors, telemetry, IV pumps, PCA, epidurals, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and feeding tubes preferred
Comfortable working night shifts and floating as needed

Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality patient care to PCU patients with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
Monitor telemetry and cardiac status, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and support advanced patient care equipment
Perform and assist with feeding tube placement and related clinical care tasks
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
Document nursing care accurately in EPIC and follow unit policies and procedures
Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while supporting weekend coverage requirements
