- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,840 - $1,940
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holidays as required
- Setting: Acute care Med/Surg Telemetry unit
- Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed
- EMR: Meditech
- Dress Code: Solid navy scrubs
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state license; no temporary licenses accepted
- NURSYS verification required
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
- ACLS preferred
- At least 1 year of recent experience in the specialty is required; 2 years of overall specialty experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a patient-facing clinical environment
- Ability to adapt to floating assignments and a changing acute care setting
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in an acute care environment
- Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support safe, effective patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and follow unit protocols and standards
- Support patient flow and unit operations while maintaining a professional, compassionate bedside approach
- Float to other units or hospitals when needed based on staffing and patient care demands
- Work scheduled weekends and holidays as required by the unit
