Overview

This 13-week Labor & Delivery travel assignment offers night shifts in a well-rounded women’s and children’s setting with opportunities to support triage, circulating, recovery, and newborn transition care. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a supportive maternity care team.

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery or LDRP nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications required
• Strong fetal monitoring, triage, and newborn transition experience
• Ability to circulate and recover C-sections
• Comfort initiating NRP support for low- to moderate-risk deliveries, including CPAP and PPV as needed
• Epic experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• IV start skills preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a team-oriented healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to laboring, antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Perform triage assessments and support patients in two dedicated triage rooms
• Circulate and recover C-sections in collaboration with the surgical and obstetric teams
• Support newborn transitions and assist with initial stabilization when needed
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes quickly, and escalate care appropriately
• Deliver patient education and emotional support throughout the birthing experience
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to promote excellent maternal and newborn outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and safety standards
