- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Contract Length: Approximately 20 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,810 - $1,910
- Orientation: 24-36 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call / Float: No call; no float requirement listed
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Environment: Busy adult ED with approximately 170 visits per day
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
- Experience with IV starts, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation
- Ability to work in a high-volume emergency department with adult and trauma-related cases
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS, and MOAB
- Must pass EKG testing prior to start
- Epic charting experience required
- Open to working every other weekend
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a varied patient population in a fast-paced ED setting
- Perform triage, IV initiation, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation support
- Care for patients presenting with STEMI, stroke, and trauma-related conditions
- Monitor, assess, and prioritize patients in a busy emergency department environment
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient flow
- Document patient care accurately in Epic
- Respond quickly to changing patient conditions and emergency situations
- Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered emergency department experience
