Job Details

• Position: Travel Med/Surg RN / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,070-$2,180
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642
• Schedule: 36 hours per week with rotating day/evening/night coverage as needed
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Schedule Notes: Weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage per unit need
• Start Date: 10/26/2026

Job Requirements

• Active New York State RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent palliative care or acute med/surg nursing experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Strong IV therapy and wound care skills
• Compassionate approach with the ability to support patients and families during critical moments
• Excellent assessment skills and the ability to advocate for patients with complex needs
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) pumps or CHPN certification is highly desired
• Telemetry experience is not required

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care for adults with intensive symptom management needs
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patients with complex clinical needs
• Support end-of-life care with empathy, professionalism, and patient-centered communication
• Provide IV therapy and wound care as needed
• Advocate for patients who may be unable to speak for themselves
• Collaborate with the care team to manage general medicine overflow patients
• Maintain a calm, supportive presence for patients and families in crisis
• Contribute to a safe, efficient, and compassionate unit environment
