• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM

• Setting: Adult PACU with high-acuity post-operative recovery care

Job Requirements

• 2+ years of PACU nursing experience required
• Strong ICU-level clinical competency required
• Active RN license eligible for assignment in Texas
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, proactive hospital environment
• CPAN or TCAR certification preferred
• Experience with Meditech Magic preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality recovery care to post-anesthesia patients in the PACU
• Monitor patients closely during the initial recovery period and adjust care based on acuity
• Deliver one-to-one nursing care for the first 30 minutes or for patients requiring ICU-level support
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios and collaborate with the PACU team to ensure continuous coverage
• Assess, prioritize, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
• Document nursing care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Support a smooth, efficient flow of patients through the post-operative recovery process
