Overview

In this Registered Nurse Supervisor / Transfer Center RN Coordinator role, you'll work closely with the house supervisor and clinical teams to support intake, bed control, and transfer coordination. This is a non-patient-contact nursing position focused on operational efficiency, problem-solving, and safe placement decisions that help keep care moving smoothly across the healthcare system.

• Position: Registered Nurse Supervisor / Transfer Center RN Coordinator
• Location: Spokane, WA 99204
• Healthcare Setting: Transfer Center / Bed Placement
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing
• Schedule: Night shifts, 4 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour nights, with flexibility for 10- or 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Contract Duration: 20 weeks
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,520 - $2,650
• Charting System: Epic
• Orientation: 40 hours

Job Requirements

• Active Washington RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
• 2 years of house supervisor or transfer center experience required for consideration
• Experience with intake, bed control, patient transfers, and bed placement required
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong crisis management, escalation, communication, and organizational skills
• Experience in inpatient acute care, emergency preparedness, and facility bed diversion preferred
• Ability to work every other weekend and commit to holiday coverage as required
• Two professional references covering the last 3 years required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient intake, admissions, transfers, and bed placement activities
• Support bed control workflows and maintain smooth patient flow across units
• Partner closely with the house supervisor and clinical teams to identify placement needs
• Use Epic to document and track transfer-related information accurately
• Apply strong clinical judgment to prioritize placement and escalation decisions
• Communicate effectively with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Help manage capacity challenges and support safe, timely movement of patients
• Contribute to a calm, efficient, and solution-focused transfer center environment
