• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Floating: May float as needed within scope
• Charting System: Cerner preferred

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience required
• Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission
• BLS and NIHSS required
• ACLS preferred
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience in telemetry, cardiac stepdown, PCU, intermediate care, or IMC strongly preferred
• Comfort with high-acuity cardiac and neuro patient populations
• Ability to work nights and every other weekend
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult stepdown, PCU, and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize changes in patient condition quickly
• Manage patients recovering from cardiac procedures, MI, and related interventions
• Support patients with neuro, respiratory, renal, and other complex medical needs as assigned
• Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with rapid response, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment with strong patient throughput and varied diagnoses
• Float within scope to support facility needs when required
