Job Requirements

• Active New Mexico RN license or current compact state license
• Current BLS certification from AHA
• Current ACLS certification from AHA
• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Experience in telemetry, acute care, or medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Strong knowledge of age-appropriate care for the patient population served
• Clear, concise communication skills and a patient-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient, and high-quality nursing care for telemetry and post-surgical patients
• Monitor patients receiving high-risk medications and infusions, including cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips
• Support respiratory patients requiring NIPPV, including BiPAP and AirVo
• Perform initial assessments, identify patient priorities, and re-assess for changes in condition
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Document interventions, outcomes, and patient progress accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and point-of-care testing as needed
