• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
• Location: Great Bend, KS
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts with varied start times, earliest 0600
• On-Call: 8 shifts per month, including rotating weekends and holidays
• Orientation: Virtual orientation every Monday
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,330-$2,460

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of PACU and Pre-Op nursing experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced recovery room environment
• New graduates are not accepted for this role

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, attentive post-anesthesia care for patients recovering from surgery
• Monitor vital signs, pain levels, airway status, and post-op recovery needs
• Use strong clinical judgment to recognize changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly
• Support Pre-Op and PACU workflow to promote smooth patient transitions
• Collaborate with perioperative team members to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
• Participate in scheduled on-call coverage, including rotating weekends and holidays
