• Charting System: Epic
• Work Environment: Floating may be required based on unit needs

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics, postpartum care, and antepartum nursing preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Must have Epic charting experience
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and a flexible schedule as needed
• Comfortable floating to postpartum and high-risk antepartum areas based on patient needs
• Must be able to commit to holiday coverage requirements as assigned
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside care for laboring patients, postpartum patients, and high-risk antepartum patients
• Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and recovery care
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and obstetric procedures as needed
• Administer medications and therapies commonly used in Labor & Delivery, including oxytocin, magnesium sulfate, and antihypertensives
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered education and support to mothers and families
• Accurately document care and clinical findings in Epic
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes
• Float to related women’s and newborn care areas when needed to meet unit demands
