Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) Travel Nurse Job in Albuquerque, NM

• Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Job
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,620 - $1,700
• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87109
• Setting: High-volume emergency department with broad patient variety and strong interdisciplinary support
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Floating: May float to similar units within scope, as needed

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or a compact license eligible prior to start
• At least 1 year of recent RN experience required; 2 years of emergency nursing or acute care experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Experience in a community hospital or high-acuity emergency room setting preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• Strong clinical skills in triage, IV access, dysrhythmia recognition, and emergency patient management
• Comfort working with a broad patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care in a busy, high-acuity department
• Assess, triage, stabilize, and monitor patients with medical, cardiac, neurologic, trauma, GI/GU, and OB/GYN concerns
• Support emergency interventions such as procedural sedation, chest tubes, central line care, RSI, and trauma response
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, lab, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Manage patient flow and prioritize care effectively in a fast-moving emergency room
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Adapt quickly to changing assignments and float to similar units when needed
