Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of telemetry nursing experience required
• Comfort working in a heavy neuro environment with neurology and post-surgical neurology patients
• Experience with NIH Stroke Scale and neurologic assessments preferred
• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Prior experience with Epic EMR is required
• Ability to manage a typical patient ratio of 1:4
• Willingness to support unit needs, including floating when needed

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality care to telemetry patients with complex neurological and medical needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and support post-operative neurology patients
• Provide care for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other neuro conditions
• Manage respiratory support equipment such as BiPAP/CPAP as clinically indicated
• Care for patients requiring specialized monitoring, including chest tubes and procedural sedation support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and workflow efficiency using Epic
