• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
• Orientation: 24 hours
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Schedule Type: Self-scheduling
• Patient Ratios: 2:1 days, 3:1 nights, 1:2 or 1:3 on weekends depending on acuity

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred, with willingness to charge when needed
• Ventilator experience required
• Current BLS and PALS certifications required
• Epic experience required
• Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, dialysis, ICP monitoring, or EVD preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort caring for complex pediatric patients

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care in a pediatric intermediate care setting
• Care for a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with complex diagnoses
• Monitor and manage patients with ventilators, tracheostomies, dialysis needs, and external ventricular devices
• Support post-operative, neurological, respiratory, cardiac, and surgical patient care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote safe, efficient, family-centered care
• Step into charge nurse responsibilities on select shifts as needed
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established safety standards
• Contribute to a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning
