• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 - $2,150
• Orientation: General hospital orientation followed by 1 day on the unit
• Scheduling: Every-other-weekend rotation; holiday scheduling based on unit needs
• Parking: Free in designated areas
• Scrub Color: Any professional color

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of intermediate care or progressive care unit (PCU) experience required
• 2 years of Med/Surg experience may be considered if accompanied by some PCU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• Experience with cardiac patients and medical-surgical patients preferred
• Comfort caring for patients with trachs, vents, stroke, trauma, sepsis, and respiratory support needs
• Ability to work nights and participate in an every-other-weekend rotation
• Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for cardiac stepdown and intermediate care patients
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including cardiac rhythm interpretation and neuro checks
• Care for patients with chest tubes, wound vacs, drains, ostomies, trachs, and ventilator support
• Administer and manage therapies such as high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, insulin drips, and non-titrating vasoactive or antiarrhythmic drips
• Perform IV starts and support post-procedure care, including TR bands and femoral sheath recovery
• Collaborate with charge nurses, respiratory therapy, phlebotomy, and other clinical support teams to deliver quality patient care
• Float to the ED, ICU, or CCU when needed for appropriate intermediate assignments
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Cerner charting system
