• Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse RN
• Location: Show Low, AZ 85901
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule Notes: Weekend coverage required; call approximately one shift per 4-week schedule
• Charting System: Allscripts
• Setting: Acute care Labor & Delivery unit with couplet care capability
• Floating: May float to ED, MedSurg, or other appropriate units if experienced

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required; 3+ years preferred for high-risk obstetric care
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM) required
• Strong fetal monitoring skills, including recognition and response to fetal distress
• Experience caring for patients with pre-eclampsia and other high-risk OB conditions
• C-section experience required
• Ability to work confidently in the absence of an in-house OB provider until support arrives
• Ability to function in both L&D and couplet care as census requires

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Support vaginal deliveries, C-sections, triage, and couplet care assignments
• Manage OB emergencies with strong assessment skills and sound clinical judgment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow unit protocols and best practices
• Adapt to unit needs, including occasional floating when experienced and appropriate
